Our Network

The XINON backbone: built for availability, operated around the clock.

A 100 Gbit/s Juniper core, 40+ points of presence and 3 data centres — engineered in Styria and operated for the whole of Austria. Redundant at every level, monitored 24/7, and close enough to your customers to matter.

Infrastructure

How the backbone is built

100 Gbit/s Juniper core

The core runs on Juniper hardware at 100 Gbit/s per aggregate — enough headroom for carrier traffic, and a platform that scales without a rip-and-replace.

40+ PoPs

Points of presence across Styria and Austria put handoff, peering and colocation close to end users — short last miles, low latency.

3 data centres

Graz, Raaba and Kalsdorf host the core, the routing infrastructure and customer colocation — with Kalsdorf serving as the backup site.

Redundant design

Routing, power and transport paths are redundant by design. No single point of failure between your handoff and the core.

24/7 core readiness

The core is monitored and staffed around the clock. Incidents are detected, triaged and worked by the same team that designed the network.

FTTH backbone since 2009

Every fiber in the network was built and is operated by XINON — no third-party dependencies between the PoPs.

The 100 Gbit/s core ties all PoPs and data centres together in a redundant mesh. For partner and carrier handoff, peering and colocation at a specific location, contact our carrier team — we will confirm the exact PoP and interface options.
